Spinach corn tikki | palak makai tikki Recipe





Ingredients:

1 bunch Palak ( Spinach ) 1 Sweet Corn Cooked 2 Medium size Potato 1 Tsp - Ginger- green chilli paste 1 Tsp - Chilli powder 1 Tsp - Coriander powder 1 Tsp - Cumin powder 2 Tsp - Chat masala 4 Tsp - Bread crumbs
Salt As per Taste Oil

Method:

  • In a pot of hot water put the spinach leaves and cook it for about 2 minutes.
  • Now take the spinach leaves and put it in a bowl of ice cold water to stop the cooking process.
  • Now chop up the spinach leaves roughly and keep it aside.
  • In a mixer, grind the corn kernels coarsely, ( don't make fine paste ).
  • Now add the spinach leaves to the mixer and pulse it to get a coarse mixture.
  • In a bowl, add the boiled smashed potatoes, green chilli -ginger paste , chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, chat masala, salt and the corn, palak mixture.
  • Mix these evenly, Now add the bread crumbs to the mixture and mix it nicely
  • Refrigerate the mixture for about 20 minutes
  • After 20 minutes, make tikkis from the mixture and lay them out in a plate.
  • In a pan, add some oil and heat it
  • Place the tikkis and shallow fry it
  • Fry it till they become golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve the tikkis hot with ketchup
Instead of bread crumbs you can used besan ( gram flour ) in same quantity.
