Ingredients:
3 Nos. - Beetroot medium size
3 cups - Full fat milk
3/4 Cup - Sugar
2 Tbsp - Ghee
1 Tsp - Cardamom powder
8-10 Nos - Cashews
Method:
- Rinse and peel the beetroot, then grate them using grater.
- Now take a kadai in that add 2 tbsp ghee and heat up.
- Now add the grated beetroot to the kadai.
- Cook the beetroot for 10-15 min till it becomes soft and shrink in size.
- Now add 3 cups full fat milk to the beetroot mixture and cook.
- Cook the milk and beetroot mixture till the milk is fully reduced, cook it on the low flame , it will take about 20-30 mins to get reduced.
- As the milk reduces add 3/4 cup sugar to the halwa , as you add sugar , it will release the water, so cook the halwa for another 10-15 mins.
- Add cashews to it , and it is ready to serve.
- Or keep the halwa in fridge for 1 day, and on next day slight warm the halwa and then serve.
