Beetroot Halwa

APPLE BASUNDI


Ingredients :

1 litre Full cream milk

2 Nos. Apples

1/2 Cup Sugar

1Tsp Cardomom powder

1/2 Tsp Nutmeg powder ( jaiphal )

5-6 Kesar strands ( optional )

Raisins 

Pistachios

Method:

  • Take a sauce pan or kadai add 1 litre milk to it
  • Let it get boil ,add Kesar strands to it.
  • Meanwhile, take apples, peel the skin and grate the  Apples.
  • As the milk start boiling add grated apples to it.
  • And cook it slowly on low to medium flame till it get reduce to half the quantity.
  • Stir it occasionally and don't let the malai form on the top of milk.
  • As the milk gets reduced to half ,add 1/2 Cup Sugar , Cardomom powder,nutmeg powder mix it well and allow it to cook for another  8 -10 min , add raisins and pistachios in it.
  • After  8-10 min Apple Basundi is ready
  • Garnish it with few pistachios and Apple slices.
  • Serve it and enjoy.
