Ingredients :
1.5 Cup Grated Bottle Gourd ( Lauki )
3/4 Cup Wheat Flour
2 Tbsp Rice Flour
2 Tbsp finely chopped coriander
1 Tsp Sesame ( Til ) seeds
1/4 Tsp haldi powder
1/2 Tsp chilli powder
1/4 Tsp amchur powder
Salt to taste
Method :
- Take a bowl add 1.5 Cup ( 1 cup + 1/2 cup ) grated bottle gourd ( lauki ) in it.
- Add 3/4 cup wheat flour, and 2 tbsp rice flour, 2 Tbsp finely chopped coriander to grated bottle gourd.
- Add sesame seeds, haldi powder, red chilli powder, amchur powder and salt to taste to the above mixture.
- Add 1 cup of water to the thalipeeth mixture and make a batter it should be like the batter of uttapam flowing consistency.
- Take a non-stick tawa brush some oil to the tawa.
- Pour some thalipeeth mixture on the tawa ( tawa should be warm and not hot ) spread the mixture using your hands.
- Make a hole in the centre of thalipeeth , pour some oil into the hole, and let the thalipeeth cook for 5-7 min on one side on medium to high flame.
- Flip the thalipeeth and let it cook for another few minutes till it becomes little bit crispy.
- Take the thalipeeth out on the plate , repeat the same method and make rest of thalipeeth.
- Serve it hot with pickle or tomato ketchup.
