Beetroot Halwa

Leftover dal ( lentil ) Tikki

Ingredients:

1 Cup Leftover Dal
1/2 Cup Poha
1/2 Cup Rice flour
1 Onion
1 Tsp Garlic paste
1/2 Tsp Red chilli powder
1/4 Tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 Tsp Coriander powder
1/2 Tsp Chat masala
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves
Oil 

Method:

  • In a bowl take 1/2 cup poha wash it properly, rinse the water and keep it side for 5 min.
  • In another bowl take 1 cup leftover dal , 1/2 cup poha , 1/2 cup rice flour, finely chopped onions and all the other ingredients mention above.
  • Mix it well make a dough of it , add water only if required.
  • Divide the dough into equal portions, take one portion make a round of it under your palms and gently press it , similarly make all the tikkis.
  • Now in a pan take some oil , let it heat up, then add the tikkis to it and shallow fry it, till it becomes golden brown from both the sides.
  • Shallow fry all the tikkis in the similar way and serve hot tikkis with ketchup or green chutney.
