Beetroot Halwa

Black Forest Cake




Ingredients:

All purpose flour - 80   gm
Cocoa powder     - 20   gm
Butter                   - 50  gm
Milk                     - 50   ml
Milkmaid             - 130 gm
Baking powder    - 1 tsp
Baking soda         - 1/4 tsp
Vanilla essence    -  1,1/2 tsp

For cherry syrup:
Cherries     - 1 cup
Sugar         -  4-5 tbsp
Water         -  3/4th cup

For whipped cream:
Whipping Cream     -  2-3 Cup

For Decoration :
Cherries
Chocolate shavings

Method:

1. Mix flour , cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder  and sieve the mixture to get the fine
    particles.

2. In another container add butter and beat it for around 1 minute.Then add milkmaid to it and again        beat it for 1 minute. Meanwhile preheat the oven for 10 minutes on 180 degree Celsius.

3. Then add the sieved mixture to the mixture of butter and milkmaid and beat it with the help of     
    beater in only one direction for a longer period of time . Simultaneously add milk to the  batter
    while beating.

4. Then put this batter in the tin and spread it evenly with the help of your finger. do not pat the tin once the batter is added to it or else a dome may get formed after baking.

5. Bake it at 180 degree c . for 25 to 30 minutes.


For Syrup

In a Saucepan add water , sugar and cherries. Cook it until the sugar dissolves and begins to boil.

Boil for 2-3 min & turn off the heat. Allow it to get cool down.

meanwhile for whipped cream take the whipping cream in the bowl and beat with the beater until you get the stiff peak, & the cream is ready.


Time to assemble


Place the cake on the cake board and cut it into three equal portion

Take bottom portion pour some cherry syrup on it the put some whipped cream layer on it , similarly do the same with the second layer too.

And finally place the top layer, pour cherry syrup and now place the whipped cream on the cake top and the sides smooth it out with spatula and decorate the cake with some cherries and chocolate shavings. Place it in the refrigerator some time and the cake is ready to serve.
